The Copenhagen Brief — a European perspective on Danish design
How is Danish design perceived beyond Denmark’s borders — and where is it headed next? Join us for The Copenhagen Brief — A European Perspective on Danish Design, a conversation hosted by Creative Denmark’s Maiken Kalhave and featuring leading design voices from across Europe, including: Marisa Santamaría, Spain; Renske Schriemer, Netherlands; Sara Garanty, Sweden: Ilona Marx, Germany. Together, they’ll explore the evolving role of Danish design, from tradition and sustainability to small living and the changing meaning of home. Expect fresh perspectives, lively discussion, and insights that will help shape The Copenhagen Brief report. Our CEO Claus Flyger Pejstrup will do the welcome and set the scene for this exciting look at Danish design from the outside. It kicks off at 11:30 on Wednesday, June 10.
Meet & Greet: Kasper Meldgaard, Says Who
Kasper Meldgaard, co-founder of Danish design studio Says Who, will be joining us on the stand to talk design, creativity, and the ideas behind some of Kvik's most popular products — our Ombra and Corisa kitchens, as well as our Sociable Barstool and more. From kitchens to furniture, Says Who's work is known for balancing simplicity, character, and everyday functionality. Stop by for a chat and meet one of the designers helping shape contemporary Danish design. Stop by 14:00-15:00 on Wednesday, June 10.
Meet & Greet: Rikke Frost
Design is always more interesting when the designer is in the room. Award-winning designer Rikke Frost will be joining us on the stand from 12:00–14:00 on Thursday, June 11. Stop by to meet the creator of our Align kitchen and Sociable Bench and chat about design, creativity, and the spaces we call home. Both designs recently won prizes in Denmark, Norway and Germany.
Meet & Greet: Søren Stellfeld, Hans Thyge & Co.
Søren Stellfeld of Hans Thyge & Co will be joining us on the stand to talk about the role of furniture in bringing people together. From the Sociable Table to the Horizon, Sociable, and Shell chairs, his work combines Danish design traditions with a deep understanding of how people live, gather, and connect. Stop by for an informal chat about design, materials, and creating products that stand the test of time. Søren will be at the stand 14:00-16:00 on Thursday, June 11.
Invite-only Long Table Breakfast
Colour, conversation, and creativity come together at this long-table breakfast workshop with textile designer Astrid Skibsted at 8:30 on Friday, June 12. In collaboration with Kvik, Folk Reykjavik, and Ester & Erik, guests are invited to explore the colour palettes of all three brands through tactile yarn windings, creating their own compositions while discovering unexpected connections between colour, material, and design. Each participant will leave with a unique artwork of their own making. If it sounds like something for you, send an email to jbr@kvik.com to secure your invitation.
What colour feels like home? An open colour experience with Astrid Skibsted
Throughout the morning, textile designer Astrid Skibsted will be on our stand from 10:00 - 12:00 on Friday, June 12, inviting visitors to explore colour through a hands-on yarn winding experience. Inspired by the palettes of Kvik and our fellow exhibitors, Folk Reykjavik, and Ester & Erik, guests can create their own unique composition while discovering how colours interact, complement one another, and contribute to the atmosphere of a home. It's a tactile and creative way to experiment with colour and gain inspiration for your own spaces. No experience is needed — just curiosity. Take your finished piece home as a small artwork and a lasting memory of your visit.
Meet & Greet: Designer Annika Hoffmann
Meet Annika Hoffmann, one of Denmark's most exciting emerging design talents. While still an intern at Frandsen, Annika designed the Sociable Lamp for us — a playful and versatile lighting concept that has since grown to include a forthcoming wall version, with more designs already in development. Join us for an informal conversation about her creative journey, her approach to design, and how a simple idea can evolve into a growing collection from 12:30 - 14:00 on Friday, June 12. Stop by, say hello, and meet the designer behind one of the newest additions to the Kvik family.
Woven Horizon — from furniture to art
Created in collaboration with textile designer and weaver Astrid Skibsted, this Horizon Chair showpiece explores the space between design, craft, and art. Using Astrid's handwoven textile Blue Gradients, the chair transforms from a functional object into a unique artistic expression.
The collaboration began with a simple question: what happens when a piece of contemporary Danish furniture becomes the canvas for a textile artwork? The result is a chair that celebrates both disciplines — pairing the clarity and functionality of Danish design with the depth, colour, and materiality of handwoven craft.
The Horizon Chair demonstrates how thoughtful collaboration can elevate everyday objects, creating pieces that are not only used and lived with, but also experienced as works of art.
A courtyard worth discovering — Store Kongensgade 108

We're part of 3daysofdesign's Fredriksstaden District.
What is 3DaysofDesign?
3DaysofDesign is a yearly festival celebrating design and especially Danish design. It takes place in Copenhagen, at venues all over the city. It's not just in one location, but many locations — in buildings, on the streets, in back gardens, you never know where design will pop up!
It's a place where both established brands and up-and-coming designers show their work and where you can't help but be inspired. And best of all, it's free to attend!
Last year, more than 400 brands showcased their designs across the 8 design districts.
